Vasopressinum sive antidiureticum hormon (ADH) est hormon, quod in cerebro prohormon prae-pro-AVP, ibi in hypothalamo enim, perficitur, tum per axones intracellulariter portatur in lobum hypophysis posteriorem, quo liberatio ex vesiculis in sanguinem fit. Secundum definitionem hormonum vasopressinum quoque effectus suos procul ab loco secretionis suo perficit. Aeque vasopressinum reabsorptionem aquae sine electrolytis (H2O pura) in renibus auget.

Ut nomen quidem indicat, hormon hoc effectus vero vasopressivos exercet, quod est vasopressinum fluxum per arterias deminui contrahit.

Usus verbi antidiuretici hormoni saepe cum syndromate secretionis indignae antidiuretici hormoni (SIADH) nexus est.

Natura vasopressini

Genetica

Genum vasopressini, AVP nominatum, apud homines in chromosomate 20 locatum est. Productum geni prae-pro AVP (prae-pro-arginino-vasopressinum) nominatum, in cellulis hypothalami [2], ex quo tria peptida dimoventur, ex eis unum vasopressinum est.

Plus quam triginta mutationes geni AVP divulatae sunt. Pleraeque illarum morbum diabetae insipidi cum disruptione aequilibriorum aquatorum in corpore electrolytorum ut natrii (Na++)[3] generant.

Physiologia

Prae-pro AVP secretum in cellulis magnocellularibus et parvocellularibus nuclei supraoptici hypothalami ac nucleo paraventriculari, tria producta et alia generantur: peptidum eius signum dans, AVP ipsum, neurophysinum II (NP).
