Himalaia (Hindi: हिमालय, a verbo Sanscrito hima 'nix' et ālaya 'habitatio') est iugum montium in orbe terrarum altissimorum inter Indiam et Sinas situm.

In Himalaia plures numerantur montes qui plus 8000 metrorum alti sunt. In nulla alia orbis terrarum regione montes talis altitudinis inveniri possunt. Altissimus omnium montium Himalaiae mons Everestius appellatur.
