Optogenetica (de verbis graecis ὀπτικός, visum attingens, velut γενεά genealogia) est in neuroscientia methodus biologicus ad genetice cellulas, neuronos imprimis, modificatas gubernandas expressu ad lucem accipiendam canales ionticos, ut et cellularum vivarum et neuronorum activorum reactiones[2], Igitur optogenetica est methodus luce neuromodulationis. Clavi optogenetici ("actuatores") sunt canalium rhodopsinum, halorhodopsinum, archaerhodopsinum, sed ad effectus imagines captandos receptoria optogenetica ("sensores") calcii (GCaMP - calcii indicator), vesicularum synapticarum liberationis (synapto-pHluorinum), neurotransmissoris (GluSnFRs), tensionis electricae membranarum (Arc Lightning, ASAP1) sunt.
