Georgius Marcgravius,[1] Theodisce Georg Marggraf (natus ad Liebstadt electoratus Saxoniae die 20 Septembris 1610; anno 1644 in urbe S. Pauli de Luanda Angoliae mortuus), fuit astronomus et rerum naturalium scriptor.

Plures universitates frequentavit, inter quas Rostochiensem et Lugduno-Batavam. In expeditione Brasiliensi Batava ab anno 1637 participavit sub patronatu principis Ioannis Mauritii Nassaviensis.

Familia plantarum Marcgraviacearum genusque Marcgravia ad eius honorem nominantur.
