Summarium

Descriptio
English: Handmade Keyer as described in Intelligent Image Processing (John Wiley and Sons, 2001).

Septambic (seven key) keyer, molded to fit the hand of Steve Mann. This keyer is fitted to the hand of the individual, and such keyers are optimized for the hand of one user only. The way that the keys are numbered defines the septambic keyswitch numbering standard.

Early keyers were often custom-made in this manner, but there has been a recent renaissance in custom made keyers to optimize ergonomics.
