Descriptio
English: Young satyr playing the plagiaulos (ancient wind instrument with a single pipe, apparently held horizontally). Roman work of the 1st-2nd century CE after a possibly Hellenistic original, inverting the pose of the so-called Resting Satyr, influenced by the styles of Praxiteles, Scopas and Lysippus. Mentioned in the Borghese Collection en 1638.
Français : Jeune satyre jouant du plagiaulos (instrument à vent ancien à un tube, semblant être tenu horizontalement). Œuvre romaine du Ier-IIe siècle ap. J.-C. d'après un original probablement hellénistique, inversant la pose du Satyre au repos|, influencé par les styles de Praxitèle, Scopas et Lysippe. Mentionné dans la collection Borghèse en 1638.
