Dansk: Robert G. Ingersoll (1833-1899) var en gudbenådet foredragsholder, og han var sin tids mest beundrede taler, som turnerede hele USA rundt et dusin gange sidst i 1800-tallet. Han havde nationens største tilhørerskare, og ikke mindst hævede han de højeste honorarer. He was prominent during the Golden Age of Freethought. Colonel Bob Mountain in Washington state was named after him by the climbers who discovered the peak in 1893.
