جِرَا جرا این فزودن و کاستن نور قمر را است و ستارکان دیکر را نیست

میان مردمان نکرستن و ناستذنْ این مَعْنیها را خلافَسْت

در روشناای ستارکان که ایشانرا روشناای از خویستن است -
čerā čerā īn fuzūdan u kāstan-i nūr qamar-rā ast u sitāragān-i dīgar rā nēst

miyān-i mardumān nigaristan u nā-sitaḏan īn ma'nīhā-rā xalāfast

dar rōšanā'ī-yi sitāragān ki ēšān-rā rōšanā'ī az xwēštan ast- [Why – why the increase and decrease of the light of the moon is settled while other stars don't behave so?

Observing these and not understanding the spirit of these is a misdeed among the people

that the light of the stars is of their own.]
