Summarium

Descriptio
English: L. Marcius Philippus. (consul suffectus 38 BC - stepfather of Augustus) 56 BC.

N.B. CNG assign this coin to Lucius Marcius Philippus. Crawford, says that the moneyer is perhaps Lucius (consul 38 BC), but may also be Quintus which was praetor 48 BC. (Crawford RRC, p. 448); he consider the 1st hypothesis more probable.

Italiano: Lucio Marcio Filippo. (console suffecto 38 a.C. e patrigno di Augusto) 56 a.C.

Crawford 425/1; Sydenham 919; Marcia 28.
