Object history
English: The coat of arms of Hage was adopted as the coat of arms of the joint community when the joint municipality of Hage was set up. The colors are blue-gold. The colors are identical to those of the city of Norden and indicate that the municipality belongs to the Norderland. The arms show the lion of the Hinkema family, who built the local castle in the 14th century. In 1446 the castle became a possession of the local church. The fence is canting “Haag” stands for fence.
