Knossos’taki saraylar olmak üzere sarayların duvarları göğsü açık güzel kadınlar, bitki ve hayvan zenginliğiyle doğal yaşamdan manzaralar, geçit törenleri gibi güzel fresklerle resmedilmişti ve bunların içinde en ünlüsü saldıran boğaların boynuzları üzerinden atlayan kadın ve erkek resimleriydi.
