Eduardus Winslow Gifford (14 Augusti 188716 Maii 1959) fuit anthropologus Americanus qui plerumque ethnographiae Indianorum Californiensium studebat cum professor anthropologiae et rector Musei Anthropologiae in Universitate Californiensi Berkeleiensi esset.

Quercupoli in California natus et in scholis publicis educatus, curator adiutus ornithologiae in Academia Scientiarum Californiensi factus est; nullam autem universitatem frequentavit. Curator adiutor in Museo Anthropologiae Universitatis Californiensis anno 1912 creatus est. Annis 1920 iter ad Tongam cum Gulielmo C. McKern, ex Universitate Californiensi, fecit. Qui ambo, cum Arthuro J. Eames botanista Harvardiano unus ex quattuor gregibus Expeditionis Bayard Dominick erant.[1] Gifford solus duos libros de cultura Tongana protulit (1923, 1924).

Gifford curator anno 1925 et professor anno 1945 factus est. Una cum Alfredo L. Kroeber, praestanti anthropologiae Californiensis duce, plus quam centum publicationes protulit. Eius opera ethnographiae conservationis indigenas Californiae culturas in commentarios librosque rettulerunt. Paradise in oppido Californiensi mortuus est. Fictile Lapitense primum effodit et appellavit.
