Dioecese Eboracensi anno 625 constituta annoque 735 in archidioecesem erecta, templis anterioribus variis rationibus ruinosis, Gualterus de Gray, qui archiepiscopus anno 1215 inductus erat annoque 1255 mortuus erit, novam cathedralem Cantuariensi aequalem aedificare coepit, quae autem non ante annum 1472 perfecta et consecrata sit.
