Ave! Spero te "Vicipaedianum" aut "Vicipaedianam" fieri velle!

Interesting pages about theme parks.

Because this is an encyclopedia we need to know the real names of things, even if we also translate the name into Latin. Since these are commercial companies, but also places on the map, it's not clear (to me) whether we would translate the names in our page title. Never mind: that'll work itself out. But whether we do or not, we still need to know the real name, otherwise the article is no use to anyone. Hence, with Knotts Berry Farm, I had no way to know whether you were telling the truth or making it all up (people do that on Wikipedia, unfortunately) until the real English name appeared and I could look it up on Google.

We also need links to the other Wikipedias. This is handled by Wikidata nowadays, but, if you don't know Wikidata, any link, such as you gave for Six Flags, is a good start. Thanks.

The third thing we really need, for each new page, is a reliable source off Wikipedia. (Wikipedia, as Jimmy Wales has said, is not a reliable source.) Usually, with a commercial concern, it's easy: you can give a link to its own website. Other sources of information would be good too.

Just wanted to explain this. But thank you for the new pages. Keep on writing. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 09:10, 11 Iunii 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Forgive me for writing English: I'll switch to Latin if you prefer. The way to move a page to a new title is to find the grey arrow marked "Plura" at the top of the Vicipaedia screen, click it, and select "Movere" from the drop-down menu. You have to type in the new name and give a reason (briefly: e.g. ad nomen Anglicum moveo) and then it just happens. Any user who has been active for more than 4 days has this power. We have to follow this procedure so that the history is not separated from the page. I've already re-done the move to "Six Flags Over Texas" for this reason.
