Making changes in the pages about Russian/Soviet personalities, you commented that "the page Patronymic says that the suffix -icus/-ica was Latin for 'son of...'. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patronymic#Iberian_peninsula". In fact, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patronymic#Iberian_peninsula actually says that "the Latin genitive suffix -icius/a was used to indicate a patronymic": not "-icus/-ica", but -icius/a"! Besides, there is reference in the English Wikipedia for this particular statement. Even if it is true, it is necessary to find examples of using "-icius/-icia" (not "-icus/-ica"!) for latinizing Russian patronymics, while using the "genetivus nominis patris + filius" pattern has been attested - see, e.g., the references in Petrus I (imperator Russiae) and Theodorus Dostoevskij. -- Alexander Geraščenko (disputatio) 05:50, 20 Iunii 2019 (UTC)
Thank you for informing me about this. I thought the filius part to be strange and had never seen it like that before and I thought -icius/a would be a better because I had read that it had been used in Latin like that (also, thank you for pointing out the correct spelling). I am sorry that I didn't view to see if filius was the actual sourced Latin name or the editors Latinizing it.
