Stimulantes or stimulantia[fontem recensere]

The plural stimulantia is short for 'remdia stimulantia' or 'medicamenta stimulantia'. I do not know when this expression was coined, but both expressions can be traced back to the 18th century in Google Books. I am however not familiar with the plural 'stimulantes' (M/F) for what is called 'stimulantia' in some languages, e.g. Dutch. Is it possible to rename this categoria?
