Disputatio:Ruthenia

In fact, as far as I can judge, both "Ruthenia" and "Russia" (e.g. according to Hofmann's "Lexicon Universale", as I understand) stand for the territory of East Slavs in general. But because of using "Russia" (certainly not "Moscovia"!) for "Russian Federation" and the necessity to make a clear distinction between "Rus" (i.e. Russia + Ukraine + Belarus) and "Rossiya" I stand for using "Ruthenia" for the former and "Russia" (if not "Rossia") for the latter. -- Alexander Gerascenco 14:59, 14 Ianuarii 2006 (UTC)
