(Sorry I write in English here, I think it is permitted on talk pages.I would definitely write in Latin if I knew it a bit more.) A better picture could have been chosen for the article, such as Romeo from Frank Dicksee's painting (1884) or Ford Madox Brown one (1870), if you keep to older adaptations, or maybe Leonard Whiting from the film by Zeffirelli if you don't mind newer ones. The picture that is used is just a portrait of an actor, not in Romeo's part but just as an actor, and he looks absolutely nothing like a young man/teenager in love.

As the caption explains, it's a portrait of the actor who perhaps[1] (as theater people say) created the role—always a matter of historical importance. The exact date of the premiere is unknown, but Burbage would have been around 30 years old at the time, most definitely not a teenager. IacobusAmor (disputatio) 13:30, 24 Septembris 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, interesting point. I can't look for images right now, maybe someone else can. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 13:17, 24 Septembris 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I added Brown's painting; there's no reason we can't have two pictures. I wonder about the name though; should it not be Romaeus? Lesgles (disputatio) 21:16, 26 Septembris 2016 (UTC)[reply]
That's good. I agree "Romeus" doesn't look so good but I feel sure we had a Latin source. Evidently we should have cited it on this page ... I'll try to track it down. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 11:40, 27 Septembris 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  1. Wikipedia says: "Richard Burbage was probably the first Romeo, being the company's actor."
