"sensore" electronico

On my page, I've been using machinatio sentiens [electronica] (a[n electronic] sensing mechanism). What do you think of this versus sensor, which I can't seem to find in my dictionaries ;)? --Autophile 00:45, 23 Iulii 2009 (UTC)

Although I don't see anything wrong with your paraphrase, "instrumentum sensorium" is the attested term for sensor. Also, I think Machinatio primarily means machination/contrivance, while the word Mechanismus is undoubtedly the best and most direct attested translation for "mechanism" in general.--Rafaelgarcia 01:13, 23 Iulii 2009 (UTC)
