Maybe this would work? If someone wanted to incorperate it into the article. Alexanderr 01:28, 10 Februarii 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In my view urbs Novi Eboraci would be more correct. The Romans didn't say urbs Roma but urbs Romae (genitive) and so on. Alex1011 08:22, 18 Maii 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, they said Urbs Roma. It's an appositon, like river Thames--2514 14:11, 18 Maii 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Is Eborac what the Romans called the city of York way back when? Also, why is the discussion here not in Latin!

Vide sigullum urbis: Civitas Novi Eboraci quasi nomen latinum officiale est. --W-j-s 20:48, 25 Octobris 2011 (UTC)[reply]
A, sed sigullum dicit "Sigullum Civitatis Novi Eboraci", "sigillum + gen." Ergo nomen veri similiter "civitas Novum Eboracum" legeri debet, sicut Latinitas poscit. Lesgles (disputatio) 19:38, 5 Aprilis 2014 (UTC)[reply]

At some point we will have to think hard about whom, if anyone, to include here, or else the section could get quite large (cf. en:List of people from New York City). Lesgles (disputatio) 19:26, 5 Aprilis 2014 (UTC)[reply]
