Qua Ratione "Nivata" Appelletur?[fontem recensere]

Credo hispanice "Nevada" significare "nivea" "stratum nive". nivata est approximatio huius verbi. I believe that "Nevada" comes from the word "nieve" in spanish. The word "nivata" looks like it in latin. --Marc mage 22:15, 27 Februarii 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vázquez Coronado (if I remember properly), the first Spaniard to reach modern-day Nevada called it such because of the vast amount of salt in the deset, that created a smowy image.
