[fontem recensere]When she died, she was 88 years and ten days old. So was she anno aetatis suae octogensimo octavo? or anno aetatis suae octogensimo nono? The former may be the more meaningful descriptor, and it would be the more accurate if we rounded off to the nearest year; but we can't deny that, technically, she was in her eighty-ninth year.
