I don't find "Eyrianus" (except with a completely different origin and sense), but I do find the Australian fossil flamingo "Phoeniconotius eyrensis". There is at least one Latin reference to "Lacus Eyre" and a genitive "Eyrei", both here on page 181 col. 2 near the bottom. So we could accept "Lacus Eyre", or construct "Lacus Eyrensis". - Thanks. I then found a second attested Latin name, but "Lacus Eyre" seems the simplest, so I moved to that form. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 12:04, 17 Iunii 2017 (UTC)
