Bach/Bachius[fontem recensere]

I recently moved the page to Bach, not seeing a source for Bachius, but I see Iacobus has now found one. I'm fine either way, and if someone wants to move it back, please do! Lesgles (disputatio) 18:04, 22 Augusti 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There was a long discussion of this name on the Taberna in 2012 (I have just updated the link above). No one at that time had thought of Bachius: the debate, inconclusive as so often, was between Ioannes and Iohannes, and I hesitate to revive it, but if further sources have turned up, we should keep that h? in mind. Igitur, fontibus inventis, fiat denuo titulus lemmatis Bachius.--Viator (disputatio) 22:10, 23 Augusti 2015 (UTC)[reply]

viginti proles, quorum ...?[fontem recensere]

Proles (generis feminini) non solum liberi sunt, sed etiam tota progenies. Praeterea imprimis in poematis reperitur. Ergo simpliciore vocabulo liberi utor. --Bavarese (disputatio) 17:35, 27 Decembris 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Probe dicis, amice. IacobusAmor (disputatio) 17:36, 27 Decembris 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Salve! --Bavarese (disputatio) 18:06, 27 Decembris 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"Sebastus"[fontem recensere]

I have just cancelled the recent modification of this page, which changed "Ioannes Sebastianus" into "Ioannes Sebastus". I cannot find any occurence of 'Sebastus', such a forename is absent from the Martyrologium Romanum (ed. 2004); on the contrary there are several Sebastiani. I do think Sebastianus is the normal Latin form of Bach's second forename. Ailamnos (disputatio) 20:20, 22 Septembris 2023 (UTC)[reply]
