I imagine IacobusAmor will be all over this one. Obviously I didn't have time to write the whole thing, so I invite anyone who wants to add more material, especially on marches in different cities, to do so. --Iustinus (disputatio) 09:15, 22 Ianuarii 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Too busy at the moment sorting my photos of it, but I may be able to get back to it later. ¶ The first sentence has an obvious glitch in it.
OK, fixed the glitch. That was, of course, the result of en: changing from en:Women's March on Washington to en:2017 Women's March while I was in the middle of writing this. But I was also writing while exhausted from GOING to the 2017 Women's March, AND writing late at night, so there are also plenty of mundane grammatical errors as well. --Iustinus (disputatio) 20:57, 22 Ianuarii 2017 (UTC)[reply]
¶ One question: one image shows a crowd and the west side of the Capitol, captioned "Concurrentes ante Capitolium." That's architecturally the back of the building, not the front. Is ante OK for that relationship? or would iuxta or prope (or even pone or post) be better? Furthermore, the building closer to the photographer, at the far right of the image, is not the Capitol, but the US Botanic Garden; in the aerial view here, it's the building in the center of the image. Hmmm, your points make logical sense but I think pragmatically the important thing is that the Capitol is in the background. And it sounds a bit weak to say, for example, "Capitolio in abscedentibus" or the like. The way it is currently phrased seems OK to me, but perhaps you have a good compromise, or perhaps others could weigh in? --Iustinus (disputatio) 20:57, 22 Ianuarii 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Also, what categories should this be in? And what incoming links can we generate? --Iustinus (disputatio) 09:39, 22 Ianuarii 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've added the obvious ones from Wikipedia, with hidden hints. IacobusAmor (disputatio) 13:54, 22 Ianuarii 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Oh! We already have a category and an article at manifestatio which cites sources. If I had known I might have used those words, if not in the title then at least in the text of the article, where I was often scrounging for synonyms. I should probably also add populi concursus (which I got from Morgan) to manifestatio. --Iustinus (disputatio) 20:57, 22 Ianuarii 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Just as a general reminder, hidden hints are unlikely to be seen by those adding categories to existing pages: these days it's usually done without opening an edit window. Hidden text that isn't in Latin is destined to be deleted. I normally do that whenever I see it, unless it's clearly written by a page creator who's still at work.
But, to end on a positive note, it's a good page and getting ever better! Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 15:28, 22 Ianuarii 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! Given current events I kind of needed something like this (and came back pumped from the march itself). --Iustinus (disputatio) 20:57, 22 Ianuarii 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've made one incoming link -- its absence was like a gaping wound. Guess which. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 16:00, 22 Ianuarii 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You were right to say "Guess which," Because I knew immediately which! Which makes me feel silly for not having thought of it myself. --Iustinus (disputatio) 20:57, 22 Ianuarii 2017 (UTC)[reply]
When he prints and frames his Vicipaedia biography, the link will be ever visible! Like a slave standing beside his ear saying "remember you are mortal". Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 13:53, 23 Ianuarii 2017 (UTC)[reply]
