For this kind of reference to work, the books themselves have to be cited in the correct format in the bibliography of the article. They currently aren't, so the links in the footnote don't work and the reader doesn't know what is being cited.

It is a bad idea to link to common words and numbers, and nearly always a bad idea to link to disambiguation pages. The best Latin word for "shield/coat of arms" is "insigne". Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 14:50, 19 Octobris 2014 (UTC)[reply]
