Grammatica[fontem recensere]

In proelio vulnus factus sepultusque in tumulo est a suis. = 'A wound in battle was mood and byried in a mound by its own people'. ("Mood and byried" to show that factus and sepultus can't modify the neuter noun vulnus, but they have to, so they do, kicking & screaming all the way.) Nomina[fontem recensere]

The Latin translation (see the archive.org link, which gives the whole book) is said to be not very good, but it does have a good index and a full index of names. These should be useful to anyone wanting to retell the story in Latin ... Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 14:25, 25 Novembris 2015 (UTC)

Pace Fabullo, editorum optimo, titulum Beowulf restituo quia "Beowulfus" (in editione bilingui quam citabat) est nomen herois, non titulus cantilenae. Si autem alii fontes tituli Latini reperiuntur, rursus movere licet. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 20:14, 30 Octobris 2019 (UTC)
