Cochleatorstrum[1] est instrumentum, aut manuale aut electricum, quod ad cochleas instruendas amovendasque adhibetur. Solito cochleatorstro simplici sunt manubrium et hastile, extremo fine quem utens in caput cochleae inserit antequam manubrium torquet. Hastile plerumque chalybe robusto fabricatur ut inclinationi ac torquendo resistat. Manubria plerumque ligno, metallo, plasticove fabricantur,[2] et saepe transversa sunt hexagonalia, quadrata, vel ovata ad comprehensionem meliorem faciendam atque ad instrumentum prohibendum ne depositum volvat. Nonnullis cochleatorstris manualibus sunt capita quae, ut sese accommodent ad contactum in extrema hastilis fine situm, permutari possunt. Quibus saepe sunt manubria cava, quibus varia capitum genera et magnitudines sunt.
