Iohannes Hus[1] sive Iohannes Hussius[2] (Bohemice Jan Hus), natione Bohemus, fuit presbyter, rector Universitatis Carolinae Pragensis et ecclesiae in Bohemia reformator. Doctrinam Ioannis Wycliffe pervulgavit et indulgentiam negavit. Die 18 Octobris 1414 Sigismundus imperator Sacri Romani Imperii Hus ad concilium (Concilium Constantiense) Constantiam invitavit et ei fidem publicam dedit. Tamen Iohannes Hus a concilio haereticus iudicatus, morte damnatus, die 6 Iulii 1415 combustus est; eius pulvis in Rhenum fluvium proiectus est.
