Glandula thyreoidea (thyroid gland) ac glandulae parathyreoideae (parathyroid gland)

Quattuor glandulae parathyreoideae (id est in utroque latere inferior et superior) sunt in homine, aliis mammalibus ac avibus parvae glandulae endocrinae in collo post glandulam thyreoideam sitae, quae hormon parathyreoideum secernunt. Illo hormonte custodiunt quantitatem calcii in sanguine [1]
