Català: Escut d'Alacant (l'Alacantí, País Valencià): «En camp de gules, sota les barres d'Aragó, un castell daurat damunt d'una roca batuda per la mar. Emmarca la fortificació, les inicials A.L.L.A. I fora del blasó, servint de timbre i orla, respectivament, un coronel obert i el Toisó d'Or.». Escut oficial, aprovat per Ordre del Ministeri de la Governació de 29 de març de 1941 (però no s'ha trobat la publicació al BOE). El blasonament apareix a l'informe oficial Informe sobre modificacion del escudo de armas de la ciudad de Alicante del Marquès de Rafal. (Ajuntament)
