Descriptio
English: Grave of Carl Adolph Agardh in Lund, Sweden. The grave with bust of the swedish professor Carl Adolph Agardh (1785-1859) at the grave monument at Östra kyrkogården in Lund, Sweden. Carl Adolf Agardh was a theologian, mathematician and naturalist. He was professor of botany at Lund University and bishop of Karlstad. He was the father of Jacob Georg Agardh and the grandfather of Gustaf Fröding. The bust and grave monument were created by the sculptor Carl Gustaf Qvarnström (1810-1867) in 1859. The bust was erected in 1939.
Svenska: Gravmonument med byst av den svenske professorn Carl Adolph Agardh (1785-1859) på Östra kyrkogården i Lund, Sverige. Carl Adolf Agardh var teolog, matematiker och naturforskare. Han var professor i botanik vid Lunds universitet och biskop i Karlstad. Han var far till Jacob Georg Agardh och morfar till Gustaf Fröding. Bysten och gravmonumentet är skapat av skulptören Carl Gustaf Qvarnström (1810-1867) år 1859. Bysten restes 1939.
