"significans contumacem aut quem confrontat" - haud scio an rectius esset scribere "eum qui confrontat", quoniam contumax homo alterum confrontat non ab aliquo confrontatur. Sed linguae Arabicae nescius verba mutare nolo ne aliquid verum in peius vertam! Quis adiuvare potest?--Iovis Fulmen 18:34, 12 Aprilis 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Quid significat hoc verbum arcanum confrontat? IacobusAmor 11:51, 27 Iulii 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Words dedit:
confront.at          V      1 1 PRES ACTIVE  IND 3 S
confronto, confrontare, confrontavi, confrontatus V (1st) TRANS [EXXEE] Later uncommon
confront;

Keywords: "Later uncommon." If it's trying to get at the idea of 'to confront', Cassell's suggests that the classical way of saying that would be "(homini) obviam ire or se opponere." IacobusAmor 13:56, 27 Iulii 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Anyway quem isn't right either. quem confrontat would mean whom he faces but the intended meaning gleaned from the english wiki was qui confrontat who confronts which in Ciceronan latin as suggested by Iacobus would be qui opponit --Rafaelgarcia 14:04, 27 Iulii 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Or qui se opponit. IacobusAmor 14:14, 27 Iulii 2008 (UTC)[reply]
