this is the dialect of German spoken in Schwaben and not the language spoken by the Suevi, isn't it? Or are they linked somehow? --Xaverius 08:32, 24 Aprilis 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tis language article refers to the Suabians in Suabia in Germany. However, there are also other Suabians, for instance at the Danube area in the Balkans. Then a Germanic tribe is mentioned, the Suevi, migrating to Spain. According to German Wikip the origin of this tribe "Suevi" is unknown, they might descend from Danuvian Suabes. At the time of Caeser Suabians lived at the Baltic see, Mare Suebicum was the Baltic Sea. Now sometimes the lake of Constance is called Suabian Sea. --Alex1011 11:48, 24 Aprilis 2007 (UTC)[reply]
