Nonne Diaeta? Harrissimo 22:32, 25 Februarii 2008 (UTC).[reply]

Non a Dies (= day) - Bundestag - Tag = day
I prefer the translation conventus foederalis

"diaeta" would be better, but in late Latin ae was often written as e. --Alex1011 20:49, 27 Februarii 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hodie iam Dieta, sed non melius Diaeta? vel etiam conventus foederalis, ut supra dicitur? Praeterea, ubi in litteris scriptis est fons nominis? IacobusAmor (disputatio) 11:04, 10 Maii 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Dieta or diaeta, I wouldn’t really know, but as I like coherence, I have to note that we already have Diaeta Imperii Germanici. I wouldn’t change to conventus however, because the Reichstag of the Holy Roman Empire was already called dieta[1] or diaeta[2] imperii, as was the Parliament of Bismarck’s empire[3]. So, if Reichstag is Di(a)eta Imperii, then Bundestag should logically be Di(a)eta foederalis. By the way, you could argue for Diaeta foederalis Germanica instead of Diaeta foederalis Germaniae, as it is Deutscher Bundestag and not Bundestag Deutschlands.
