No, the grounds are not given (so far as I can see). The source cited is a website, which may be reliable, and does often cite sources, but it does not cite a source for this date of birth (so far as I can see). If I have missed something, please point to the original source or the historical discussion from which the author of the website derives this date of birth.

Since the reliability of this new date is not yet certain (so far as I can see) it seems wise to retain a reference to the older printed sources which give a different date of birth. The German Wikipedia does this too. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 12:30, 26 Ianuarii 2015 (UTC)[reply]
